By plane
Rapallo is a town on the Ligurian coast in Italy, but does not have its own airport. However, you can reach Rapallo by plane by landing at one of the nearby airports. Here are the main options:
- Genoa Airport (Cristoforo Colombo): This is the closest airport to Rapallo, located about 35 km away. You can take a train, taxi or hire car to reach Rapallo from the airport.
- Milan Airport (Malpensa or Linate): These airports are further away (about 150 km), but offer a wide range of international flights. From Milan you can take a direct train to Rapallo or a train to Genoa and then change for Rapallo.
Once you arrive at the airport, check the public transport, car rental or private transfer options to reach Rapallo.
By car
To reach the Grand Hotel Bristol in Rapallo by car, you can follow these general directions. Make sure you have a GPS navigator or an up-to-date map app for the most accurate and current traffic information.
- Highway: If arriving from the north, you can take the A12 motorway (Genova - Rosignano Marittimo) and exit at Rapallo, following the direction for Zoagli. If arriving from the south, you can follow the same motorway and exit at Rapallo.
- Arrival in Rapallo: When in the city, follow the signs to the seafront and look for signs to the Grand Hotel Bristol. The hotel is located in a panoramic position on the hill, so you may have to follow some uphill roads.
- Parking:The hotel has outdoor parking spaces subject to availability and a covered car park at a cost of €30.00 per day. Advance booking is recommended.
By train
Rapallo has a railway station with connections to major cities, including Genoa and Milan.
It is served by regional and intercity trains, and once in Rapallo you can reach the hotel by private transfer, just 5 minutes away or a 20-minute walk.
